Darwaza--a village near Ayubia having a population of over 3 thousand people is a catchy part of UC Palak for the politicians at the time of elections but at the same time; It is the most deprived and neglected part of the whole UC with lack of even basic necessities of life just because of biased attitude of political elite.

Tragic Jeep Accident Near Khaira Gali Causes Deaths and Injuries

A jeep carrying dozens of passengers from Khaira Gali to Chamb Darwaza got an accident just after a couple of minutes of drive from Khaira gali and fell down from the road causing death of the Jeep Driver and critical injuries to a number of passengers.

According to details; most of the people travelling in the Jeep were belonging to Chamb Darwaza and all were relatives. This accident was no less than a Qayamat for the people of Chamb as almost every other house has one or two injured persons admitted in PIMS hospital Islamabad and THQ Murree.

Driver of the Jeep Saeed Abbasi S/O Arab Abbasi belonging to Chamb Darwaza lost his life while many others are in critical condition admitted in the hospital. Many small children were also boarded on the Jeep and are badly wounded.

Further to the loss; jeep carrying relatives of the injured who were rushing towards THQ Murree also got accident near Kali Mitti Murree as the jeep carrying them collided with a Toyota Hiace. Driver and Conductor along with many others in that jeep were wounded. Masood Ahmad Abbasi who was conductor of that Jeep also lost his life later in PIMS Islamabad. Masood Abbasi was resident of Drer Mohalla Near Khaira Gali.

GHSS Khanspur Ayubia Shows a Poor Matric Result

Government Higher Secondary School Khanspur Ayubia matric result 2015 has greatly disappointed the people of the area as 52 out of 67 students have failed in the examination as per the result announced by Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Abbottabad.

It is important to mention here that GHSS Khanspur Ayubia is unable to perform well for last many years. It has also been observed that "Booti Mafia" is active in the school under the supervision of its own teachers who prefer to promote booti culture in the exams instead of preparing the students by fulfilling the duties thoroughly.

Complete Result of Union Council Palak and Its Village Councils for Local Bodies Election 2015

Union Council Palak which includes some of the well known tourist places of Galyat including Khanspur Ayubia is one of the most politically mobilized areas of district Abbottabad. Governor KPK Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan also hails from this UC. Union Council Palak comprises various village councils namely VC Darwaza, VC Longal Kalaban, VC Ryala, VC Palak, VC Surjal and VC Malkot.

For the post of member district council; there was one on one contest between Sardar Shamoon Yar Khan of PMLN and Raja Mobeen Ur Rehman Abbasi of PTI. Sardar Shamoon Yar Khan is son of KPK Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan and he served as MPA as well in previous tenure. On the other hand; Raja Mobeen is a emerging leader of PTI and he was member of district council in past as well.

This election was of a significant interest for both PTI and PMLN as it was a do or die state for PMLN in their home constituency in order to regain the strength which they lost in May 11 general elections in which Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan lost his seat against PTI candidate Dr. Azhar Jadoon for NA 17 Battle. 

After a good fight; PMLN candidate Sardar Shamoon Yar Khan managed to win district council election from UC Palak with a margin of more than 1200 votes.

Tehsil Council Election Result Union Council Palak Tehsil Abbottabad

For the seat of Tehsil Council; three candidates were in the field from Union Council Palak. PTI awarded ticket to Laiq Ali Abbasi while PMLN ticket was awarded to Ansar Hayat Advocate. Waseem Dildar Abbasi was also in the contest as an independent candidate who was earlier a key member of PMLN but left the party after having differences with Sardar family.

Ansar Hayat of PMLN won the seat with a clear margin while PTI candidate Laiq Abbasi stood second and Waseem Dildar was on the third slot.

From Village Council Darwaza, Waseem Dildar Abbasi got elected as Chairman while Arshad Abbasi was second and became Vice chairman.

Ziafat Arif Satti-- active local leader of PMLN couldn't be on the top slot and could manage to become Vice chairman only.

Journey From Murree to Ayubia: Introduction of Places On the Way to Ayubia

Ayubia is located at a height of about 8000 feet from sea level and is a well know tourist place in Galyat region lying in district and tehsil Abbottabad KPK. Ayubia chairlift is one of the key attraction fro the tourists visiting this beautiful scenic place. Tall ever green trees, cold breeze, high mountains and hills, eye catching and appealing water slides and heaven like scenes of Ayubia and its surrounding places make it a prime choice of people looking to spend some quality time during their holidays.
There are two main ways through which you can travel towards Ayubia. One is to travel via Murree and the other is to travel via Abbottabad--Nathia gali.
In this post, I am going to talk about different places that will come on your way while travelling from Murree to Ayubia.

Sunny Bank:

Sunny Bank is located on Murree Ayubia road and is at about 1 KM distance from Main Murree. Sunny Bank has a small market where you can buy eatables and also enjoy a cup of tea or some desi dhaba food.

Abbasi hospital is also located in Sunny Bank which provides basic medical facilities to the locals. This is a privately owned hospital. A medical store is also there from where medicines and cosmetic items can be bought.

Kuldana:

Kuldanna is the next stop after Sunny bank when travelling towards Ayubia. From Kuldanna theere are two roads. One road leads to Jhika gali, Mohra Shareef which is used to travel towards Bhurban, Dewal, Kashmir, Bakote, Birote etc. The other straight road is followed when going towards Ayubia.

Army School of Logistics is located in Kuldanna. Kuldanna market is very small and mostly auto-mechanic shops are there in Kuldana market.

Darya Gali:

Darya Gali and Ratti gali are the two nearby places from where you can enjoy scenic views of different areas of Murree hills. 

Usmania Mosque is located in Ratti Gali which is the only notable landmark of this place.

Kaali Mitti:

Kali Mitti (which means black soil) is another market area on Murree-Ayubia road. Kali Mitti market has several small shops from where local people buy daily use items. 

A private school Pak Children Academy Kaali Mitti is a known institute of this area where a large number of students are currently being educated.

Barian:

Barian is one of the biggest and most busy bazaar of Murree--Ayubia road strip. Barian bazar has several restaurants, bakeries and different types of shops. People from all nearby places including Masoot, Surjaal, Seer, Palak, Darwaza etc. use this market as their shopping point.

A link road from Barian links Seer areas to Murree Ayubia road.  Link Roads also connect Masoot and Surjaal areas to Barian.

Khaira Gali:

Khaira gali is located in District Abbottabad and is the first main bazar of hazara region once you enter Hazara from Murree side. There is one post office, Civil Hospital and also a branch of National Bank in Khaira gali. 

All regions of Palak, Nergol, Jandala and Chamb Darwaza connect to Khaira gali through various link roads.

Union Council Palak office is also located in Khaira gali.   

Changla Gali:

Changla Gali is a known tourist place which is at a height of above 8500 feet. Hotel LeGrand and Hotel Daisy Dot are the two well known hotels in Changla Gali. 

Kutta Rorh is a well known sight seeing place near Changla Gali from where you can enjoy great views of different villages and hilly places of the region.

Kuza Gali:

When you reach Kuza gali, you are just 3 to 4 Km away from Ayubia. From Kuza gali, direct road leads to Nathia gali while other road takes you towards Ayubia.

Nakra, Chamb, Ryali and Farooq e Azam Morh are the nearby places from Kuza Gali.
